Japanese flowering cherry. A strong growing tree with a narrow vase shaped crown to 9m making it suitable for small spaces. The leaves are green with bronze tops when they first emerge turning orange-yellow in autumn. Large single white flowers with a pink edge are bourne in late spring, it rarely produces fruit. Hardy, tolerant of all soils except waterlogged soil. Mix plenty of good compost with the soil and stake well.
